wiley.ed.usu.edu - How Technology Will Destroy Schools
An interesting posting and reply on the question of technology impact on schools and teachers. Whilst I can agree that the need for learning "facts" may reduce, the question for me (and where I see the future of teachers) is in the linking of new knowledge to previous knowledge so that learning actually occurs. Learning is not about receiving facts. When confronted with the Internet and all its information, learners need to be able to have the skills to build new information through building on what they already know.
